Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Istanbul

Arrive in Istanbul, where your English-speaking driver will welcome you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is yours to relax after the journey or begin discovering this captivating city, where Europe and Asia meet across the Bosphorus.

Day 2: Istanbul’s Imperial Treasures

After breakfast, set out to explore the monuments that shaped Istanbul’s remarkable history. Visit the magnificent Hagia Sophia, whose soaring dome reflects centuries of Byzantine and Ottoman heritage, before continuing to Topkapi Palace, the former residence of the Ottoman sultans.

Admire the elegant Blue Mosque, instantly recognizable by its six minarets and beautiful interior decoration. After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the ancient Roman Hippodrome, once the center of public life in Constantinople. Finish the day amid the colorful shops and covered lanes of the Grand Bazaar, with free time to browse traditional crafts, jewelry, textiles and souvenirs.

Day 3: Bosphorus Cruise and Istanbul’s Historic Neighborhoods

Begin the morning at the Egyptian Bazaar, also known as the Spice Bazaar, where displays of herbs, sweets, teas and aromatic spices fill the historic market with color and fragrance.

Next, board a public boat for a scenic cruise along the Bosphorus. From the water, enjoy views of Istanbul’s European and Asian shores, including Dolmabahçe Palace, Çırağan Palace and Rumeli Fortress.

Continue to the atmospheric neighborhoods of Fener and Balat, known for their cobbled streets, colorful houses and distinctive character. Visit the cast-iron Bulgarian Orthodox Church of St. Stephen and view the historic Orthodox Patriarchate. End the day overlooking the Golden Horn from the celebrated Pierre Loti Café area.

Day 4: Fly to Cappadocia and Explore Its Northern Landscapes

After an early breakfast, transfer to Istanbul Airport for your flight to Cappadocia, a region shaped by volcanic activity, erosion and centuries of human settlement.

Begin your exploration at the Göreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO-listed monastic complex filled with rock-cut churches and historic frescoes. Continue to the Ortahisar panorama for views of its natural rock castle, stone houses and surrounding valleys.

At Paşabağı, also known as the Valley of the Monks, walk among some of Cappadocia’s most striking fairy chimneys. Enjoy lunch in Avanos beside the Kızılırmak, or Red River, and discover the town’s long-established handicraft traditions.

The day continues through Devrent Valley, where unusual rock formations inspire imaginative shapes, followed by the Three Beauties viewpoint overlooking Ürgüp. Conclude at Göreme Panorama, where Cappadocia’s sculpted valleys unfold before you.

Day 5: Valleys, Villages and an Underground City

After breakfast, discover southern Cappadocia on a day filled with dramatic scenery and fascinating history. Walk approximately four kilometers through the Red and Pink Valleys, where changing sunlight reveals warm shades across the rock formations.

Continue through the Valley of Love, also known as the White Valley, distinguished by its naturally sculpted fairy chimneys. Descend into the multi-level underground city of Serhatli or Özkonak to learn how earlier communities created protected living spaces beneath the landscape.

Following lunch at a local restaurant, visit the ancient Christian village of Çavuşin and continue to Uçhisar, dominated by its impressive natural rock castle. The day also includes visits to traditional carpet and onyx workshops, offering insight into regional craftsmanship.

Day 6: Fly to Izmir and Continue to Kusadasi

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Kayseri Airport for your flight to Izmir. Upon arrival, continue by road to the coastal town of Kusadasi. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Pamukkale and Ancient Hierapolis

After breakfast, travel to Pamukkale, celebrated for its dazzling white terraces formed by mineral-rich thermal waters. Walk beside the remarkable Cotton Cliffs and admire a landscape unlike anywhere else in Turkey.

Continue to the ancient city of Hierapolis, where important remains include its basilica, theater and Roman baths. Together, the natural terraces and classical ruins reveal why this area has attracted visitors for thousands of years. Return to Kusadasi after the tour.

Day 8: Ephesus, Sacred Heritage and Return to Istanbul

After breakfast, travel to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved cities of the ancient Mediterranean world. Walk along its historic streets and discover monumental remains, including its celebrated library, grand theater and ancient temples.

Continue to the House of the Virgin Mary, traditionally associated with her final years, followed by the Basilica of St. John. Later, attend a presentation showcasing Turkey’s leather craftsmanship.

Transfer to Izmir Airport for your domestic flight to Istanbul. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 9: From Istanbul to Athens

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and some free time before your scheduled transfer to Istanbul Airport. Fly to Athens, where a representative will welcome you on arrival and assist with your transfer to the hotel.

Settle in and enjoy your first evening in the historic Greek capital at your own pace.

Day 10: Classical Athens and the Acropolis

After breakfast, begin a panoramic journey through the neoclassical heart of Athens. See the Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the University, the Library and the National Academy. Continue past the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Gate and the Panathenaic Stadium.

The highlight of the day is a guided visit to the Acropolis, where the Parthenon rises above the city as an enduring symbol of classical Greece. Continue to the Acropolis Museum to explore remarkable artifacts discovered around the sacred hill.

After the tour, return to your hotel or spend time independently exploring the inviting streets, shops and cafés of Plaka.

Day 11: Cruise to Hydra, Poros and Aegina

After an early breakfast, transfer to the port and board your cruise through the beautiful Saronic Gulf.

Your island journey begins with Hydra, a picturesque, vehicle-free island known for its stone mansions, waterfront cafés and cobbled lanes. Continue to Poros, where the landmark clock tower overlooks the narrow channel separating the island from the Peloponnese.

The final stop is Aegina, famous for its pistachios and relaxed island character. During your free time, you may choose an optional visit to the Temple of Aphaia or explore the waterfront and local shops.

Enjoy a buffet lunch aboard the ship, followed by traditional Greek entertainment during the return journey to Athens.

Day 12: Fly from Athens to Cairo

After breakfast and check-out, enjoy free time until your transfer to Athens Airport. Fly to Cairo, where a representative will meet and assist you upon arrival before accompanying you to your hotel.

Relax after the journey and prepare to begin the Egyptian chapter of your adventure.

Day 13: Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, meet your guide and travel to the legendary Giza Plateau. Stand before the Great Pyramids of Giza, admire the enigmatic Great Sphinx and visit the Valley Temple, an important part of the ancient funerary complex.

Enjoy lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant before continuing to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Explore the Main Galleries, Grand Hall and Grand Staircase, where monumental statues and extraordinary antiquities introduce the achievements of ancient Egyptian civilization. You will also have access to the museum’s commercial area and exterior gardens.

Return to your hotel after a memorable introduction to Egypt’s pharaonic heritage.

Day 14: Fly to Aswan and Board Your Nile Cruise

Early in the morning, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, begin exploring one of southern Egypt’s most beautiful and historically significant cities.

Travel by boat to Philae Temple, an elegant island sanctuary principally dedicated to the goddess Isis and also associated with Hathor. Continue to the ancient granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, which provides a fascinating look at the techniques used by ancient Egyptian stoneworkers.

After the tour, transfer to your Nile cruise, complete the embarkation formalities and enjoy lunch aboard. Spend the afternoon at leisure as you settle into life on the Nile, followed by dinner on the ship.

Day 15: Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Wake to the peaceful scenery of the Nile and enjoy breakfast aboard as the cruise approaches Kom Ombo. Step ashore to visit its remarkable riverside temple, uniquely designed for the worship of two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, a form of the falcon god Horus.

Return to the ship and continue sailing toward Edfu while enjoying lunch aboard. On arrival, visit the Temple of Horus, one of the most complete and best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. Its monumental gateway, courtyards and detailed reliefs offer an exceptional view of religious life during the Ptolemaic period.

Rejoin the cruise and relax over afternoon tea while sailing toward Esna. Dinner is served aboard as your Nile journey continues.

Day 16: Luxor’s West Bank and Royal Tombs

Enjoy breakfast aboard as the cruise continues toward Luxor, once the ancient city of Thebes. Cross to the West Bank, where temples and royal tombs lie beneath the dramatic Theban mountains.

Explore the Valley of the Kings, the burial ground chosen by many rulers of Egypt’s New Kingdom. Enter selected royal tombs and admire passages decorated with scenes intended to guide the pharaohs through the afterlife.

Continue to the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. Built against towering limestone cliffs, its terraces and colonnades form one of ancient Egypt’s most distinctive architectural achievements. Before returning to the cruise, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two monumental statues that once guarded the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.

Enjoy lunch aboard, followed by afternoon tea and time to relax. Dinner is served on the cruise.

Day 17: Karnak, Luxor Temple and Flight to Cairo

After breakfast, disembark from your Nile cruise and begin exploring Luxor’s East Bank. Visit the vast Karnak Temple Complex, developed over many centuries and renowned for its monumental gateways, sacred lake, towering obelisks and immense Hypostyle Hall.

Continue to Luxor Temple, an elegant sanctuary constructed and expanded by several pharaohs, including Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The temple was historically connected to Karnak by the Avenue of the Sphinxes.

Later, transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, meet your representative and continue to your hotel for your final night in Egypt.

Day 18: Departure from Cairo

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and spend any remaining free time relaxing or preparing for your journey home. At the scheduled time, check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport for your final departure, taking with you memories of an extraordinary journey through Turkey, Greece and Egypt.
