Why Sai Lake Cruise?
SAI Dahabiya lake cruise takes you on an incredible, extraordinary journey on Lake Nasser's water for a remarkable Nubia exploration. A cruise around Lower Nubia to discover the temples of Kalabsha, Wadi El Seboue, Amada and, of course, the inescapable site of Abu-Simbel with the Ramses II temple and his wife, Nefertari.
SAI is the name given to the boat and refers to an island within Upper Nubia in northern Sudan. This island has a myriad of new archeological sites. The SAI lake Nasser cruise is made entirely of wood and artisanal construction and took five years to complete.
Alongside its rustic and stylish side, it also has a modern and elegant appearance. SAI lake cruise offers a speed of cruising that uses minimal energy, allowing us to preserve the environment as much as possible. The boat has a generator that supplies electrical power, solar panels, and 220V.
In length 26m and reaching 6.5m in width, SAI Dahabiya is equipped to accommodate 12 guests in six double cabins; four are located on the lower deck, and the other two are on the upper deck. All cabins have private bathrooms. The two on the upper deck have the added benefit of private terraces with incredible panoramas over Lake Nasser during our voyages. Inspired by the traditional Nubian design, SAI bears an elegant and cozy atmosphere, particularly in the restaurant and lounge bar.
The shores of Lake Nasser, inaccessible by road, are unexplored by unique flora and fauna for nature lovers and birdwatchers, particularly during winter. SAI cruise ship lets us walk across the shores and get into areas that larger vessels can't reach.
The well-known temples in Nubia were protected from water with the help of UNESCO after the building of the Aswan high dam. This cruise allows you to learn about the past of Nubia and its great queens and kings.
