Day 1: Arrival in Luxor
Welcome to Luxor, the city of the Pharaohs! You will be greeted by a representative at the airport or train station and transferred to your hotel in a private, modern van. Take some time to get settled in and review the itinerary with your tour manager, then enjoy a complimentary dinner before turning in for the night.
Day 2: Luxor West Bank Tour
After a filling breakfast at the hotel, head to the west bank of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings. See the tombs of Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, TutankhaAmon, Ramssess VI, Mrenptah, and Amonhotep II, all intricately decorated and carved into the mountainside.
Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman to ever hold the throne of ancient Egypt. Stop at the quartz colossi of Memnon and the remains of King Amenhotep III's mortuary temple before returning to the east bank for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, see the impressive temples of Karnak, dedicated to the sun god Amun and his family. Finally, visit the Temple of Luxor, built by King Amunhotep III and completed by King Ramesses II. Transfer to your hotel in Aswan for dinner and a good night's sleep.
Day 3: Luxor Museum and Mummification Museum
Check out after breakfast and transfer to the Luxor Museum to see its collection of pottery, jewelry, furniture, statues, and stelae. Next, visit the Luxor Mummification Museum to learn all about the ancient Egyptian process of mummification. Have lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to Luxor International Airport for your flight home.
